I want to highlight a really great website to get photographs in the public domain. AltPhotos.com
This site has a lot of heart, and it is easy to see why! Altphotos.com is family-run by a team of passionate web professionals that also share a love of photography. As if that wasn’t awesome enough… All images on AltPhotos.com are released under Creative Commons CC0 License.
A cool feature of the site is the tagging system. Some sites put a few tags on their photos and call it good. Altphotos.com tags the heck out of their photos… in a very good way. If you don’t have time to sit there and keep trying to find a photo that meets your design requirements head over there and give them a try.
Here are a few photos to give you an example. I had 4 words in mind that I wanted to search for. I found a photo for each of those words and I was beyond pleased… what do you think.
